At the end
of the road is this classic old white farmhouse in Barnum.
Perched high in the yard, this home has traditional charm with
newer mechanicals. We start with white metal siding and new
vinyl windows. The windows are custom made in the home to match
the trim color. They are white on the outside but have a dark
wood finish on the inside to match the original woodwork. There
is a new screen porch on the back entry with just enough room
for a bench seat. Leave the back door open on nice summer days
and don’t worry about the bugs. On the front of the home is a
old fashion sun porch. The room is still used and has a new
screen door installed. In the newly fenced in back yard there is
a concrete patio just off the door leading to the
basement/kitchen. In the rest of the large yard there is a
raspberry & vegetable garden and an extra driveway good for
parking boats, trailer and cars. The single car garage has
electricity and concrete floor. In the home and you are greeted
by a old fashion kitchen with white cabinets and open shelves.
Just off the kitchen is the bathroom and its original claw foot
tub with shower. In the dining room there is plenty of light
from the windows and the beginning of the custom wall paintings.
The walls come alive with faux finishes of old Italy. To the
right is the first bedroom and closet. Into the living room and
the custom walls continue. The original hardwood floors have all
been refinished and look great. To the right is another bedroom
and then into the sun porch. Downstairs you will find a clean
painted basement with newer plumbing, electrical, hot water
heater and a new high efficiency furnace installed in 2008. The
basement was dug up in 2005 and had new drains and vapor
barrier. New gutters were installed in 2005 as well. Agent
